The Humble/Spring East Area is made up of more than 65 subdivisions. It borders with Atascocita to the east, Kingwood to the northeast, the Spring Northeast Area to the north, the Spring/Klein Area to the east and the George Bush Intercontinental Airport to the south.
At and about the intersection of US59/I-69 and FM 1960 serves as the major retail center for the Humble and surrounding areas - with the Deerbrook Mall, several of the major big-box stores, strip centers with the smaller retailers and a number of restaurants.
This area is served by three school districts: 40% Humble ISD, 40% Aldine ISD and 20% Spring ISD. About 25% of the Humble/Spring East Area is within the City of Humble and the remaining is Unincorporated Harris County.
